I will wish you Happy Thanksgiving today because I am going out of town for a few days and likely will not post on here. I am going to keep up with my drawings however, so I will have a couple for the next post.
Inktober is a challenge to create an ink drawing every day in October and post it. This year I have been doing child portraits, with questionable results. My goal is to improve my portrait drawing skills.
Each portrait seems to express an unique emotion. Todays drawing is a boy who is angry.
The drawing was inspired by an image by Wilhan José Gomes from Pixabay.
Butterfly Temari
This temari is my own design. I used the kiku stitch to create wings for the butterflies by doing the stitch in a line with a beginning and an end instead of in a circle like it is traditionally done. This ball is larger than usual, 43 cm in circumference. It was divided into four sections, but not like the segments of an orange as is more often done. Instead the sections are triangular shapes interlocked around the ball. I found it challenging to get the marking lines placed properly on the temari.
Each butterfly is a different colour.
