Inktober is a challenge to create an ink drawing every day in October and post it. This year I have been doing mainly children’s portraits. I’m trying to get the hang of the medium and work on my drawing skills. Today’s picture is a child but instead of a full face portrait it captures a youngster in profile.  Hands are hard to draw!

The drawing was inspired by a photo by Leo Rivas on Unsplash.

Painting – The Lookout

The Lookout is a memory from when my children were small and we lived up North in the bush. We would hike to the top of the cliff and then take the children – one at a time – out to the edge to look down across the valley. It was a good place to raise children.

This painting is acrylic on stretched canvas and is 20×16 inches.
