Just finished this painting. It’s called Dancer. I wanted to depict movement and the joy in movement.
This is acrylic on stretched canvas and is 12×16 inches. I haven’t signed it yet. The more I look at it the more I think it may need a few more touches, so I will let it sit for a few days and then see what still needs to be done. With all the sewing I have been doing lately it is no wonder that this painting may have been finished too fast.
Star Temari Ball
This is a little ball, only 22 cm around, but it is not the smallest I have made. The pattern is just like one of the quilting star designs.
The thread used here is pale yellow and red crochet cotton.
Quilting
I have been working hard to get a Christmas present quilt finished so it can be mailed away. The quilt is the Eye Spy I posted about previously. I am almost finished the machine quilting and then all I will have to do is trim it and do the binding around the edge.
I intend to do the binding by machine as well so it shouldn’t take too long.
But I haven’t had time to work on the last set of clue directions from Bonnie Hunter that were posted Friday. I have to make a pile of flying geese and I don’t want to get behind in the Mystery quilt. I enjoy the work so much!
There is another project that I want to do before Christmas, but it is a very complicated appliqued table runner. I am questioning if it is possible to get it done in time. How much sleep would I have to give up? Should I put myself through this or just find another present for my friend?
I really want to make it. I think I will try.
