The great inland sea – Lake Superior! I spent a lot of time on its shores when I lived up north. This painting reminds me of the beauty of its windy bays, rocky points, and lonely beaches. The water was always cold!
Painted in acrylic on canvas board, it measures 14×11 inches.
Temari Ball
This ball is called Jade Flowers. It was a present for a young friend of mine a few years ago.
The ball is 32 cm around and is done in Perle cotton #5.
The Mystery Quilt
Since Friday was Christmas Eve the Mystery clue was held back until Monday. I am still behind on the work, this is clue 5 and I am working on clue 3. This clue actually uses what is made from clue 3 and adds to it. I did take time to make some of this latest clue’s pieces. The triangles in the upper left corner are the third clue. Now we add two more pieces and make them into a square.
Starting a New Project
I have started a new project, a collage art quilt. It is just a small wall hanging, 9×12 inches without the borders I will add later to frame it. I will take pictures as I go and when it is done I will post the results.
It is a detailed picture of a lion’s head, all done in cloth.
It is a new type of work for me, not painting but definitely not a patchwork quilt. I will see how it goes.
